When it rains, it pours! What a day I had at work! The day started out fine, but then we went outside. One of my students came off some equipment and called my name. I saw him walking down the stairs with blood flowing down his neck. Well, I kept my cool and had him sit on the bench next to me and hold the back of his head with his hands. I radioed the nurse and told her that we needed gloves and gauze. Meanwhile, the most of the rest of my students had stopped where they were almost frozen in shock. All except for one who was so stressed out that he wet himself. I mean literally pulled his pants down and wet himself.
Another teacher asked if she could help and all I could think of was, "could you help ___ pull his pants up?"
The nurse came and took my one student. Then I asked the other teacher to watch the others while I took my wet student back to class to get him changed.
When we all finally got back to class, I found out that administration had moved a meeting that was supposed to be at 2:15 to 1:15. Well I'm teaching at 1:15, so I had to find a replacement, write up daily notes, and calm/comfort the other students in about 5 minutes.
Super Woman!!!
I made it through the day, now I just need to make it through the sticky mess of Pancake Day tomorrow!!!
Pray for me!!!
