On January 5th we took Chloe to the eye doctor to get everything checked out. I wasn't sure how they would be able to check an infant's eyes, but they said they could so...
Dr. Bobbitt checked how she could track light and objects, then they had to put drops in her eyes to dialate them. She was not happy at all about that, but she calmed right down afterward when I fed her. The nurse had to give her two more sets of drops because her right eye would not dialate right. But finally, Chloe's eyes where big enough to drown in, so the doctor came in to check her eyes.
Basically, they checked Chloe's eyes the same way they do an adult's with the addition of 4 nurses to hold her down and hold her eyes open while the doctor looks in them. It was sad, but a necessary check since Jason had an eye issue as an infant that definitely runs in the family.
Chloe's eyes are fine and the doctor said he would see her again at age 2 unless we saw any new concerns.
After her appointment, Chloe really hammed it up for the nurses and doctors. She absolutely was giggling up a storm with those glasses!
