Well I went back to work on Monday. I have to use the breast pump every two hours because of Mastitis, so I am constantly leaving my class to "take care of business."
I have had fevers off and on this week from the infection, but they were just low grade fevers, so I didn't think anything of it until Wednesday. Wednesday I started getting a rash on my arms, chest, face, legs, pretty much everywhere. I started swelling Thursday, so I called the Dr. to try to get them to call in a different antibiotic (since I was obvously having a reaction to the one I was on). They didn't call back til Friday morning while I was at work. Meanwhile, I was at work, running a fever, achy with chills, etc. and having to stay for a legal meeting at 1p. I left as soon as I could and went to the pharmacy, picked up Chloe, met Mom at home, checked my temp (102.3) and went to bed.
To summarize a very long week and story, I am taking a new antibiotic, fever is gone for the moment, rash is itchy, and Chloe is sleeping :)

The nutty, sleepy and happy One
Chlo found her twin sister, Phlo, yesterday. She's the nutty One.
Chloe was so awake and alert yesterday that I thought I would try to get some of it on video. I know it's hard to hear, but she has a few oh's and ah's in there responding to the book! She likes looking at the colors in the book, too!
The second cousins meet
Ethan at Grandpa and Grandma's house Monday. It was so good to see Uncle Jack, Aunt Debra, Devan, Danielle, and Ethan. Thanks for dropping by to see everyone!

Chloe is one month today. It's gone by so fast, but I can tell she's growing, gaining more weight, and learning so much already. I'm sorry the pictures are so late.

Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day weekend
The kids: just hanging out. Ian is almost 4 months older that Chloe.
Sunday at the Shanks'. Aunt Maria loves to hold Chloe and tell Jeff how to do it. Uncle Jeff, you need to get some practice in there!
Just touching doesn't count!
Monday at the Stabley's. She looks great in Aunt Deah's sunglasses! Hot stuff!
Our friends Mike and Doris came over. Doris got to hold Chloe for the second time (first time was in the hospital).

New trick
Chloe rolled from her stomach to her back this morning. We tried to get her to do it again, but I think she was upset and tired from the one time, so... I will try to get her to do it on camera this week. If not, it may have been a fluke; we shall see.
1 month pediatric appointment
Chloe had her one month appointment on Friday. This one would have been uneventful if we didn't have to re-do her newborn screening. Wednesday, I got a call from her pediatrician's office. They said that her heel prick screening came back from the hospital, but was insufficient (what ever that means). So, we decided to go ahead and get it done at her pediatrician appointment on Friday.
When we (Mom, Holly, and I) got there, she weighed in at 7.65 lb. and measured 20" in length. Her head was 13.75 in circumference. She is small at the twenty-fifth percentile in all categories, so as long as she stays in a good ratio and continues to gain weight, she'll be just fine. :)
This video was taken in the waiting room (before the "mean nurse" pricked her heel). As you can see, she was pretty happy (and sleepy).
Week 3
This week Chloe has started cooing. She will listen to me talk to her and she will give a big "Oh!" or "Ah!" I love that she knows who I am and that she trusts me to take care of her.
Chloe also started on a bottle and pacifier this week and she did really well. Aunt Holly loves putting the pacifier in her mouth (even when she doesn't need/want it). She thinks it is adorable (which, of course, it is!). I'll try to get some pictures up later today.
