I had another appointment today. The doctor said that everything looked great from the ultrasound. The baby's heart rate is still in the 140s and she's still in great "birthing" position. The good news is I'm 50% effaced! Hurray! But...no dialation, yet. I'll keep posting and keeping you up to date.
1 week from tomorrow is her due date; we'll see.

Latest Ultrasound
Hey all! We had another ultrasound today. She's weighing in at 6lb. 4 oz, and measuring at 36 weeks which means that she is small (like her mommy). I'll get more information from the ultrasound relating to fluid and development on Thursday when I go to see the doctor (one of them I like, thank goodness).
11 more days (about)!

2 weeks and counting
Two weeks until August 8th. I had another appointment today. My cervix is softening, but still no effacement or dialation. I'm feeling good, still, and the baby continues to move around. She is still in "position" and hopefully will stay put (just practicing my mother's tone)!

Getting closer
This past Thursday, I had another doctor's appointment. The baby is definitely "head down" and has a heart rate of 140 beats per minute. The doctor said I didn't have any effacement or dialation, so it may be a while. However, I have made it to 37 weeks and that is considered full term, so...now we wait (and continue nesting :).

Last class
Today Jason and I had our last maternity class. This one (I would say) was the best.
We went in at 9 and left at 4:30. The teacher was a great and we left feeling more prepared for childbirth (which happened to be the name of the class--Prepared Childbirth). We talked about breathing techniques, what to expect in the Labor and Delivery Room, and what to expect during the actual childbirth.
We are more excited about being parents now that we are more prepared.

Say what?!?
Yesterday I went to the doctor again. I met the fourth out of the five doctors on the team. He was really nice and very fatherly. I think he's my favorite so far. I've tried to rank them as I meet them so I know who I'm getting when I go in (or who I'm hoping for :).
Dr. Panner is his name. I am 35 weeks and measuring at 35 inches--just right. The baby's heart rate is still very good and my blood pressure has been the same throughout my pregnancy. The part that I couldn't believe was when he asked if I was having contractions yet. I told him about the Braxton Hicks. He said when they come 5-6 in an hour, and when they are 3-4 minutes apart, then I could go to the hospital. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Am I really that close to seeing my daughter? Excitement, nervousness, terror, then back to excitement. Wow...I have to get the furniture back in place! :)
