I had been told before that she can hear what's going on around her, but I never had evidence like on Saturday. Jason was working on the lawn mower and was trying to take the blade off, but it was just too much for him to tilt the mower and try to use both hands to get the blad off. Anyway, I ended up being his lovely assistant (holding the mower handle to the ground with my foot). Every time he hit the wrench with the hammer, it would make a loud clanging sound and a split-second later, our little girl would kick me (I didn't even do it!).
Despite the new discover of "hearing", we did not have a great day on Saturday. After Jason finished cleaning the lawn mower, his next project was to check the water heater (our showers would get about 5 minutes of hot water, then turn cold). As soon as he opened the crawl space, he saw water on the ground and water flowing out of the bottom of the water heater in a steady stream. To make a long story short, we bought a new water heater. Jason and his dad moved the old one out and the new one in. Jason hooked up the wires Sunday and we now have really hot water. Sunday felt like I was camping; using cold water to wash my hair, but it sure makes you appreciate hot water when you have it!

10 in an hour?!?
I still haven't heard anything back from the doctor, so I'm assuming that everything went alright with the glucose test.
I also just realized that I didn't tell you about the 10 in an hour. This is what the doctor told me I was suppose to start doing. Count how many times the baby moves in an hour. If the number is 10 or more, all is well. If not, call the office or the doctor on call. This seemed like a reasonable number so I decided to try it. I sat down and began to count. Swish, 1. Bump, 2. Thump, bump, 3, 4. Ok I kept counting until I got to ten then looked at the clock. A minute and a half?!? That can't be right! But it is so true! Jason and I have an extremely active baby.
Even now, I am thinking back to the early dopplars when I would hear her moving and the doctor commenting on how much she moves. Well, all I can say is she better get her wiggles out now, because when she gets here, there will be too many people wanting to hold her. :)

Belly pictures at 27 weeks
Thanks to Jason taking the pictures and Mom e-mailing them to me, I can now download belly pictures from this week. I had my glucose test today so hopefully I will not hear anything back from them. ("No new is good news" is the rule here).

Oh where oh where is my cord...
Ok, like Sharon, I feel bad about not posting, but posts are just better with pictures. I have several to put up; Florida, belly, nursery, etc. But....I can't find the camera cord anywhere! Ahhh! Talk about frustrating.
On a brighter note, mine and Jason's good friends, Mike and Doris, just had their baby at around noon today. He was just over 5 lbs, and 19 inches long. Ian Troy Stype, welcome to the world!
I can't wait to see him (hoping for tomorrow).
