Sorry and Update

Ok, everyone, I knew I wouldn't be as faithful as Sharon when I started the blogging. Thanks a lot, Sharon, for setting that bar so high :).
Anyway, a quick update then I'll try to put up some pictures:
Jason and I just got back from his cousin's wedding in Florida. It was really interesting. It was a Catholic wedding, so every time the priest prayed, he sang. Not a "Sound of Music" type singing, but one of those monotonous type of run-on sentences. I wish I could have recorded it. I tried really hard to focus on the words and not the delivery, but it was just so funny!
We stayed really busy and didn't get enough sleep, but I know that everyone had a fun time. Some of the highlights, besides seeing family were the glass-bottom boat tour. We got to go out on the ocean (about 5 miles), and see the corral reef. It was something to remember. We also got to go on an airboat tour. This one I wasn't sure about. I was afraid that it would be really bumpy and too rough, but it ended up being a very relaxing ride--if you don't count the "close encounters" with the 'gators'. We got about 2 feet from two of them. Too close for my comfort, but at least Jason was sitting on the outer seat of the boat and I was on the inside seat!

The baby is getting bigger, I feel her everytime she moves--and I do mean EVERY TIME. I don't mind too much now, but I think I will when she starts the really hard kicking.
The hardest things right now are: picking out a name for her, putting my shoes on in the mornings, rolling over in bed, and NOT sleeping on my stomach :( I miss it, but she's worth every minute.

Nursery...almost

I'm sorry it has taken me this long to put up the nursery pictures. This, I think, is how it will stay. We had originally put the swing by the door, but we noticed when we came into the room, we would almost trip over one of the legs. Imagine trying to remember the leg with 2 hours sleep, in the dark, and a crying baby in your arms. Thus, the changed in position. I hope it works for us.
The basinet has more onesies, socks, carseat cover, etc. in it.

On top of the chest of drawers is the CD player, the wipes warmer (which will move to the dresser once we clean it off), and part of the monitor. Behind the chest of drawers, is the bather, the rocking chair, and nursing "equipment". I say "equipment" because that's what it's going to feel like I'm carrying in to work each day. I'll have a pump, bottles, plastic bags, cooler, purse, and any other things work-related. THAT'S going to take some practice!

This is a picture of the walls. The right wall in lavendar and the left wall is green. Jason and I wish we could afford crown molding to go on the ceiling, but that will have to wait for a more stable time.

This one turned out darker because we don't have blinds/curtains up yet. We are looking at Lowe's and Home Depot to try to find some shades that are similar to the conversion van's. You just lift or pull down (no cords to worry about since the window is so low to the ground). The glider and the swing in the corner, we got from Sarah's neighbor in Monroe. Both, hardly used at all.

The most important piece of furniture we have gotten---THE DIAPER PAIL!
Ten bucks at consignment. On top of the dresser (once we clear it off), we will put the changing pad, changing organizer, and wipes warmer. In the top drawers will be diapers, creams, grooming stuff, etc.

And, we're back at the door. Thank you for choosing Baby Shanks' tour. We hope you enjoyed yourselves! I love you all and can't wait for you all to visit and hold our little baby girl.
PS. still don't have a name for her.

Belly at 21 weeks

I've really popped out there. I think I've said that before, but it seems like I keep "popping."
I might even "pop out at parties." I need some vitameatavegemin!
