I was trying to get a video of Chloe rolling over, but...this is almost as good. I hope you enjoy it.

Roll over! Roll over!
Sunday morning Chloe started crying at 3 in the morning (this was unusual 2 weeks ago, but pretty common now). I woke up and heard her crying a different cry, so I got up really fast and went to see what was different. Lo and behold, she had rolled herself over from her stomach to her back. This, I thought, must be a fluke. So I fed her and put her back in bed on her tummy.
5am: rolled from stomach to back, again.
6pm: rolled from stomach to back--I missed this one, but Jason saw it.
Up to this point, I had yet to witness her actually roll over and see the process.
Monday morning, 4am: rolled from tummy to back
Tuesday morning 3am: rolled from tummy to back
Tuesday night was the best she's had in a long time. She was happy all evening and only cried about 5 minutes the entire night. I had her in her room on the floor while I put away her laundry and I saw her trying to roll. I stopped and tried to encourage her. She flipped to her back and I cheered for her, then she rolled back to her tummy, then back to her back, then to her tummy again--all within about 8 minutes! Wow, what a gift from my little Bug!

Holding her head up
Chloe has gotten really good at holding her head up when she's on her tummy. She can now hold it for a few seconds at almost a 90* angle. Hurray, Chloe! Keep up the good work.

I'm sorry the pictures are out of focus, but that's the funny thing about babies: they never hold still!

I'm sorry the pictures are out of focus, but that's the funny thing about babies: they never hold still! She loves sucking on her fist now. She is constantly sucking, sliming, and drooling. Sha goes through at least 5 bibs each day because of drooling :).
I love this picture. I just wish it was in focus.

Is it worth going to jail?
Mom, Holly, Chloe and I went to the mall in Pineville yesterday. While we were there, we decided to try looking in Macy's for some baby clothes for Chloe. We found a really cute shirt that would be perfect to wear over her swim suit when we go to the beach in the spring. We kept shopping around, then decided that we had better move on to a new store. Well it ws probably 15 minutes later that we noticed the cute little shirt--still hanging on the stroller! We forgot to pay for it! So, I ask every one, is $2.69 worth going to jail?
I went shopping on my own that morning and bought Chloe some sun glasses. She thought they were wild!

Chloe's first Halloween
Friday night, Jason and I took Chloe to our church's Fall Festival. These pictures were when we first arrived and she was happy. In an effort to keep her warm, we tried to cover her with blankets. But, she would have none of it; She would rather see than be warm--Crazy Nut! That is the reason we only have a few pictures of her that night. Sorry everyone!

Play time with Daddy
Chloe was in such a good mood last night. She and Jason played together almost the whole night. She fussed just a little when we put her in "the chair" which happens to be a little rocking chair that she loves. I know she is rotten to her sweet, sugary center now. Everytime she would fuss a little, I would just look at her and then she would get this huge smile on her face. Nothing was wrong, she just wanted me to look at her, not my food. hehe.

Bug meets bug
This weekend, I went to the store and saw little mirrors that you can attach to the crib or set up on the floor. Since Chloe loves to look at herself in the mirror when we change her, I decided to go ahead and buy it for her tummy time.

The weekend
Chloe's friend, Ian, came over to our house Friday night and brought his dad and mom, Mike and Doris.
Ian is really getting around now, but not quite crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks, bounces and wiggles, but, no crawling. He loved playing with Chloe on his blanket; He especially liked trying to get her feet while they were kicking. He thought he had a great new toy to play with.

We ended up moving Ian to the opposite corner and told him, "If you want to get Chloe, then you have to crawl to her."Thursday, October 23, 2008
Happy days are here again
Chloe is going through another growth spurt; although, I didn't realize it until last night when she was wanting to eat every hour and 45 minutes.
The past few days had been odd for Chloe. She started a hoarse cry on Sunday night that still hasn't gone away completely. Jason and I are thinking it was the swing drying out her throat; time for the humidifier! Chloe has also had only 3 poops a day, but just barely. And, she's been easily irritable which, everyone knows, is totally out of character for her.
She just hasn't ben herself. Until last night, that is. Here are the results of getting what she needs and when she needs it (food and sleep). I'm sorry it took me so long to figure it out, Chloe!

By the way, I already know the date on my camera is off. These were taken 10/22/08.

Guess who's a new citizen?
My friend Doris was just sworn in this morning. Doris has been waiting so long for this. Our SS class had an All-American party for her tonight to help her celebrate. Congratulations, Doris!

I'm thinkin' peas
Originally, Jason and I wanted to find a lady bug outfit for Chloe to wear at our church Family Night, Oct. 31st. But, as would happen, Target was out of the costume. So, we went down the street to Party City and got a Pea in the Pod outfit. I would not go back to the lady bug, now, seeing how cute she is in the Pea outfit. She really is our little Sweet Pea!
